During the pandemic years, I turned inward and chose to deepen my illustration practice, focusing on a series of male and female figures designed to provoke an emotional response in the viewer. Each piece features a consistent grey background, serving as a neutral stage for the vibrant and impactful use of colour.
The figures, often locking eyes with the spectator or expressing a powerful emotion, are meant to confront, connect, or even unsettle. This body of work is an exploration of human presence, vulnerability, and intensity, made more poignant by the collective isolation and introspection of the time.
